RESPONSIBILITY
Merchandising
Execution
- Liase with the marketing manager
to execute merchandising strategies for each product category - batteries,
lubricants, and auto parts at the Badami Group level in UAE, in line with
overall brand positioning and marketing campaigns.
- Create market-specific planograms
and ensure consistency across dealer locations, retail outlets, and
garages.
- Align product displays with
current promotions, campaigns, or seasonal initiatives to ensure timely
activation and relevance.
- Supervise the installation of
branding materials, including stands, racks, signage, window graphics, and
dealer boards.
Trade
Marketing & Channel Support
- Collaborate with the sales managers
and marketing manager to implement trade-specific campaigns and support
with physical merchandising collaterals.
- Ensure maximum visibility at
point of sale (POS) locations, including service centres, fleet workshops,
and multi-brand retailers.
- Recommend channel-specific
merchandising improvements based on consumer buying behaviour and
competitor research & insights.
POS
Material Development & Management
- Liaise with the marketing manager
to oversee the timely production and distribution of merchandising
materials like danglers, wobblers, posters, shelf strips, and branding
kits etc.
- Work with external vendors and
printers and ensure brand guidelines are implemented.
- Maintain an inventory log of POS
materials and ensure regular replenishment to key markets
Market
Audits & Compliance
- Conduct regular field visits to
ensure the correct and consistent execution of merchandising plans.
- Evaluate the condition and
placement of displays, signboards, and vehicle branding, and ensure
compliance with branding standards.
- Report competitor merchandising
activities and offer proactive recommendations to enhance A-MAP’s shelf
presence.
Initiative
& New Projects
- Proactively identify new
merchandising opportunities, pilot concepts, and suggest innovative visual
projects to boost brand visibility.
- Lead special initiatives or
visual rollouts independently and take ownership from concept to
implementation.
Data,
Reporting & Analytics
- Maintain and update a centralized
merchandising tracker covering execution, deployment, and campaign
outcomes.
- Provide monthly merchandising
performance reports with KPIs, market feedback, and actionable insights.
- Utilize photos, sales team inputs
to report on visibility and activation results.
Event
Support & Exhibitions
- Assist the marketing manager in
the planning and execution of visual merchandising elements for
exhibitions, roadshows, and dealer meets, etc.
- Support in any other outdoor adhoc
marketing requirements
Team
Supervision
- Supervise one or more
merchandisers, ensuring clear task execution, follow-up, and field
performance.
- Train and guide the merchandising
team on display guidelines, brand compliance, and campaign rollouts.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing,
Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of merchandising
experience, preferably within the automotive, lubricants, batteries, or
FMCG industries.
- Solid understanding of retail
merchandising practices, trade marketing, and channel activation.
- Prior experience working with
automotive brands or product lines is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience in POS
development, vendor management, and merchandising deployment logistics.
- Strong attention to detail,
visual sensibility, and understanding of shopper behaviour.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
(Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop
is a plus.
- Strong written, verbal
communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
- Ability to travel frequently
across the UAE markets.
- A UAE driving license is
required.
