Our Journey

• 1960's
• • In the early 60’s, Mr. Sabir Badami, the Chairman of the group, established his first trading company in Pakistan that dealt with auto parts, and tyres. With the series of achievements and unwavering hard work, he was successful in expanding the business to a leading position. By 1988, Mr. Sabir Badami decided to expand the business globally and moved to the UAE to tap into the international market in pursuit of new business opportunities
• 1980's
• • Al Muqarram Trading was formed as the main company of the group trading grains and food items in the main business district of Dubai. Due to the success of the business, the business expanded to GCC regions and some parts of Africa.
• 1998
• • Al Muqarram group decided to backward integrate into manufacturing, and its first manufacturing unit, Al Muqarram Industry (AMI) was established in Sharjah UAE. AMI manufactures silicon sealants, adhesive tapes and other construction industry related products.
• 2001
• • Al Muqarram Auto Spare Parts LLC (A-MAP) was established in the regional trading hub of Deira Dubai, which was headed up by Mr. Asad Badami. A wide range of reliable automotive spare parts were imported from various countries and distributed in the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia and CIS/Eastern Europe Countries which took the company to new levels of success.
• 2003
• • Another milestone in the journey of A-MAP was the foundation of a distribution facility in Sharjah, built on a covered area of 40,000sqft and constituted all modern facilities at that time. A state of the art ‘Warehouse Management Solution’ was implemented which cut down the handling time to the lowest possible time frame in the industry.
• 2005
• • A-MAP expanded its portfolio of product range by venturing into the automotive battery segment, and with the implementation of the batteries division.
• 2006
• • A joint venture (JV) in South Africa, under the name AL MUQARRAM DISTRIBUTORS CC (AMD CC) was established as a first step towards A-MAP’s long term vision of ‘global self-distribution’. The JV is located in the heart of South Africa, Johannesburg, and products are distributed by AMD CC throughout South Africa and its surrounding countries such as Mozambique, Swaziland, Lesotho, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Malawi.
• 2008
• • A-MAP launched its liaison office in Shanghai China, with the purpose of expanding its Auto Parts sales and distribution. This setup mainly focuses on the ASIMCO brand, with its wide range of quality products like brake pads, brake shoes, shock absorbers and brake discs.
  • A-MAP signed off the contract with Hyundai Sungwoo for the distribution of Solite batteries.
• 2010
• • A-MAP ventured into another parallel of the automotive industry and launched its tyres division
• 2011
• • A-MAP established its license in Jebel Ali Free Zone and established a 60,000 square feet facility to further expand its global reach.
• 2012
• • A-MAP reached a milestone of becoming a US$100million turnover company.
  • In a move to forward integrate into the retail segment, Dial-A-Battery was launched in the UAE as a B2C company, offering on-site battery replacement services to end users.
• 2015
• • A-MAP established it Lubricants Division with the success of acquiring the sole distribution rights for Hyundai Xteer lubricants.
  • A-MAP signed off a multi-million dollar contract to initiate the building of its state of the art distribution and office facilities in Jebel Ali Free Zone. The facility is spread over 160,000 square feet, and is due for completion by June 2017
• 2016
• • Direct Import and Distribution to B2B, under the name A-AMAP Trading WLL was established. The operations are managed from an office in Doha and caters to entire Qatar, Retailers and Corporate customers.
• 2017
• • A-MAP established its relationship with European manufacturer Clarios and expanded its portfolio of battery range with the launch of Asimco Batteries.
• 2019
• • Badami Logistics was established in 2019, with an objective to be the leader in contract logistics, 3rd party logistics, freight management, transportation and integrated supply chain solutions within the region.
  • A-MAP is proud to be awarded ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certifications. These are internationally recognized standards that set the criteria for quality management system and occupational health and safety management system respectively.
• 2020
• • All our Battery brands/products are approved by the Emirates Authority for Standardization & Metrology for ECAS certification under the following GSO standards:

    This is another testimony of the high Quality Standards of all our product brands and range.
    All our batteries in future will be with the ECAS marking as a proof of ESMA certification.
